The gold snuffer bottle is an essential tool for a hobby gold panner. If you are starting gold panning paydirt or dirt you've found prospecting, you have to have a gold snuffer bottle to get the most gold possible.
A snuffer bottle is a bottle with a 1-2 inch straw, cut at an angle at the end. It is used to suck up gold flakes, and small gold nuggets.
To use your snuffer bottle, first fill it with about 1/5th water. Work your paydirt near the end of its panning cycle. Moving the black sand and debris away from the flake by shaking the pan, then insert the straw of the snuffer bottle into the pan, pinching the bottle as you place it over the flake. Then release pressure and the flake will suck right up the straw and into the bottle.
Through the design, once it is sucked up it won't fall out of the bottle. Keep doing this until you have retrieved all of the flakes in your gold dirt pan. Then you can put the gold flakes in a vial or heat them up in a crucible to make a gold bar. Good luck!
